STANDARD GEOTEXTILES WOVEN - SEPARATION When postioned between the subgrade and sub base layers it serves as a barrier to prevent the costly loss of aggregates within the soil. Provides reinforcement to weak sub grades and absorbs the stress caused by heavy traffic. They can also be used to create a barrier between water, soil and rock particles to help control erosion. HEAVYWEIGHT NON WOVEN - MEMBRANE PROTECTION Heavyweight non wovens are ideal for the protection of geomembranes and other sensitive materials. They prevent contact of angular stone with the membrane and high friction forces developing between stone and the membrane on slopes. Also used for rock armour protection. Specifically developed as an underground warning or marker geotextile to notify future contractors of hidden hazards such as contamination. HIGH VISIBILITY GEOTEXTILES We offer Network Rail Approved Geotextile for drainage surround or the separation of ballast in track construction. Network Rail Approval no: PA05/066066. With strengths ranging between 100 - 2500kn these products have many uses for the reinforcement of soft ground because of their high long design strength with low creep. Such applications are Load Transfer Platforms. HIGH STRENGTH BASAL REINFORCEMENT Biaxial geogrids deliver reliable ground stabilisation in permanent and temporary applications. They help decrease the fill material thickness and increase bearing capacity. The aperture which includes a large aperture grid option for use with larger aggregate allows for interlock - such as when used in a load platform application. They have a life expectancy of up to 100 years. GEOGRIDS FOR BASAL REINFORCEMENTS Geogrids are used in retaining structures. Their high tensile strength at low elongation and excellent friction properties mean they are mostly used for the reinforcement of non cohesive soils. SILT FENCING A temporary barrier that contains soil movement to prevent sediment build up in culverts, streams and other drainage courses. A biodegradable sediment entrapment mat for natural and artificial channels. Can collect an estimated 20kg per m2. Geosynthetic Clay Liners (GCL’s) are an extremely versatile product. They are a combination of 2 or more layers of geotextile and bentonite, a clay material with excellent swelling ability. GCL’s ensure a reliable barrier to liquids, steam, and gases. It provides the highest standards of security and protection. The excellent absorption and swelling properties of bentonite make the GCL impermeable. Concrete Canvas is a flexible,concrete filled geosynthetic which provides a thin and durable concrete layer when hydrated. It has numerous applications such as: • Channel and bund lining • Slope protection • Lagoon lining andweed supression including weed suppression on access steps. Impermeable Linings are used in ponds, lakes, lagoons, reservoirs and for containment in SUDS attenuation systems. Also available higher strength reinforced liners with increased puncture resistance. CELLULAR CONFINEMENT SYSTEMS - TREE ROOT PROTECTION Geocell cellular confinement systems have numerous uses such as root protection, load support, retaining walls and slope and channel protection. The 3D interconnected cells utilise confinement providing strength and stability. Rock rolls and mattresses are used around lake and reservoir edges, shorelines, high flow river banks and streams. GRASS & GRAVEL PAVERS Grass and gravel pavers are interlocking systems designed to stabilise and reinforce grass or gravel areas. Typically they are used for car parks, driveways, footpaths and access roads. For areas of higher loadings or frequent traffic a HD (Heavy Duty) product should be used. RETAINING STRUCTURES GABIONS & MATTRESSES Gabions and mattresses are used for mass gravity walls, architectural cladding and erosion control schemes. We offer welded or woven products in PVC or Galvanised coatings in various wire thickness. BBA approved product available if required. We also offer prefilled gabions which are perfect for schemes with short completion time frames or restricted access or storage. 10
